The qualified individual will have experience working with direct reports in a machine shop manufacturing environment and will be well versed in the use of CNC Machining as well as conventional methods. Applicants should be Permanent US Residents.

Responsibilities:

• Run, manage and lead a growing plastics manufacturing shop
• Supervise all machine shop operations (consisting of CNC and Conventional machines) in the machining of various parts of the aerospace, medical and other industries
• Programming, machinery set-up, design, builds fixtures and tools
• Work with tight tolerances, first and final inspection
• Create tool set-up sheets and work instructions when needed
• Responsible for employee performance evaluations, direction and training
• Assure machinists are operating efficiently and adapt to new requirements
• Assist machinists and operators to resolve problems in set ups or running computer programs
• Ensured that the quality control standards are maintained
• Communicates effectively with machinists and management
• Organize and methodize the shop
• Maintain a safe work environment meeting all internal standards and external regulations
• Estimate jobs and order materials

Requirements:

• 5+ years Management experience
• Experience with AS9100 desired
• Background in machining, reading and analyzing blueprints or drawings
• Experience with CNC and manual machines
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills
• Proficient using Mastercam
• ** Knowledge of laser CNC is a plus **
